About These Terms
HF-SeaSense is a maritime human factors training platform operated by Fáiré Innovare Ltd (referred to as “we”, “us”, or “HF-SeaSense”). These Terms apply to all users of the platform, including individual learners, corporate accounts, resellers, and visitors to www.hf-seasense.com and the LearnWorlds-hosted school.
By accessing, registering for, or using any part of the platform or its courses, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

Access is granted to enrolled users for personal study and professional development only. You may not reproduce, distribute, resell, publish, sub-licence, modify, or create derivative works from any platform content without the prior written permission of Fáiré Innovare Ltd.
Unauthorised use of platform content, including screen capture, mirroring, or sharing of account access, may result in suspension or termination of access without refund.
2. Reposting and Excerpts
Short excerpts of platform content may be quoted for the purposes of comment, review, training reference, or non-commercial educational discussion, provided that:
- The excerpt is clearly attributed to HF-SeaSense and Fáiré Innovare Ltd.
- The use does not misrepresent the meaning, context, or intent of the original material.
- The excerpt does not amount to a substantial portion of any single course or module.
All other reposting, redistribution, or republication of platform content requires written permission. Requests should be sent to info@seasense.one.
3. How to Use the Guidance
The HF-SeaSense courses present concepts, frameworks, scenarios, and reflective exercises drawn from current human factors research and maritime industry guidance. The material is intended to support learner understanding, build awareness, and inform professional practice.
The guidance is not a substitute for the operator’s Safety Management System, company policy, vessel-specific procedures, statutory training, or qualified professional judgement. Where any conflict appears between platform content and the operator’s own procedures, the operator’s procedures take precedence.
4. Purpose of the Training
HF-SeaSense courses are designed to develop knowledge of human factors and their influence on safe and effective maritime operations. The courses support, but do not replace, statutory training under the STCW Convention or equivalent national requirements.
Where the platform refers to industry frameworks (including OCIMF TMSA Element 14 and related industry publications), such references are positioning and educational in nature. They do not represent endorsement by, or any current vetting requirement from, those bodies.
5. Limitation of Liability
Fáiré Innovare Ltd has taken reasonable care in preparing the content of the HF-SeaSense platform. However, the content is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranty of any kind, express or implied.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fáiré Innovare Ltd, its directors, employees, contributors, and partners shall not be liable for any loss, damage, claim, or expense, whether direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive, arising from:
- Any reliance placed on platform content in operational decision-making.
- Any interruption, error, or unavailability of the platform or its hosted services.
- Any third-party content, links, or integrations accessed through the platform.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
6. Professional Standards
Users are expected to engage with the platform in good faith. This includes completing assessments honestly, refraining from sharing answers or login credentials, and applying the learning in line with their professional duties and their employer’s safety culture.
Conduct that brings the platform, Fáiré Innovare Ltd, or fellow learners into disrepute, including the misuse of certificates or misrepresentation of training completed, may result in suspension and revocation of any certificate issued.
7. Accounts, Access, and Payment
Accounts are personal to the registered user. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Concurrent or shared use of a single learner account is not permitted.
Fees, course pricing, enterprise terms, and any applicable discount or reseller arrangements are set out in the relevant order form, invoice, or commercial agreement, which forms part of these Terms.
Refunds, where offered, are governed by the specific refund policy in force at the time of purchase or by the commercial agreement signed with corporate purchasers.
8. Data and Privacy
Personal data collected through the platform is processed in accordance with the HF-SeaSense Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Please refer to the Privacy Policy for details of data collected, lawful basis, retention, and your rights as a data subject.
9. Changes to These Terms
Fáiré Innovare Ltd reserves the right to update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on the platform. Where changes are material, registered users will be notified by email or through an in-platform notice. Continued use of the platform after the effective date of any updated Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales for the resolution of any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms, save that Fáiré Innovare Ltd reserves the right to bring proceedings in any other jurisdiction where a breach has occurred or its rights need to be enforced.
